The Slow Dance series is the next progression in Temple Reef’s venture into interline jigging rods: thin diameter, light, easy to use and versatile, these rods manage to deliver a slower action for lighter jigs giving you a more refined range to match traditional rods. The Long Ranger series covered the stiffer long fall rods that excelled on larger sport boats, the Deep series gave you enough heavy range to jig down to 1000 feet or more and the Slow Dance is perfect for the 100-500ft range up to 320g jigs on the heavier model. This range is useful for more people, matching more of the application of traditional slow pitch jigging.

If you’re not familiar with interline rods, they’ve been out for a while and have been well tested. On the jigging side the most important improvements are the lack of main running guides which helps avoid tip wrap entirely, it also gives you a more sensitive package since the line touches the rod blank at every point instead of just at the guides. Temple Reef has used a special coating on the inside of the blank to prevent abrasion so you don’t have to worry about your line or rod.
