UC has produced a limited edition run of dorado color finished rods mainly in the RCX rail rod series as well as some 9E surface iron casting rods. These rods are hand painted one by one so no two blanks is the same, transitioning from blue to green and to yellow along with accents throughout.
The RCX rail rods are perfect for heavier boat fishing when targeting big yellowfin and bluefin, they have a more moderate bend with enough recoil to get line back when the boat moves. These are also perfect land based shark fishing rods due to the heavy rating and forgiving bend under substantial drag load, the Viper, Invictus and Gladiator are the best models for that style. These rods will accommodate all of the larger Avet models up to a 130 size, but will not fit a Makaira 130 due to a longer reel foot profile.
